Job Summary

The Jones County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. This is a full-time position with a benefit package. Starting wage is from $28.34 to $34.55 depending on qualifications with an automatic raise after 6 months of employment. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age upon civil service testing, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid Iowa driver's license.

A completed application, along with a resume and cover letter can be dropped off to the Jones County Sheriff's Office, mailed to the Jones County Sheriff's Office, P.O. Box 167, Anamosa, IA 52205 or emailed to brian.eckhardt@jonescountyiowa.gov.

Application deadline is Monday, August 1st, 2022 at 4:30pm. Applicants will be required to take and pass a written and physical Civil Service test.
